Iran Throws Monkey Wrench Into Nuclear Deal

May 20, 2014

Three days of negotiations in the fourth round of Geneva discussions ended Friday in arguments and confrontations when the Iranian team presented their country’s new “red lines,” diminishing any hope by the Obama administration to claim victory in its approach to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, according to reports from Iran.

US Oil Production Booms While OPEC Flounders

May 20, 2014

Instability in the Middle East is posing problems for OPEC, the world’s largest oil cartel. The cartel may have trouble producing enough oil to meet demand later this year, according to energy analysts.

Meanwhile, the Justice Department has launched Operation Choke Point, a credit card fraud probe focusing on banks and payment processors. The threat of enforcement has prompted some banks to cut ties with online gun retailers, even if those companies have valid licenses and good credit histories.

“This administration has very clearly told the banking industry which customers they feel represent ‘reputational risk’ to do business with,” said Peter Weinstock, a lawyer at Hunton & Williams LLP. “So financial institutions are reacting to this extraordinary enforcement arsenal by being ultra-conservative in who they do business with: Any companies that engage in any margin of risk as defined by this administration are being dropped.”

A Justice Department representative said the agency is conducting several investigations that aim to hold accountable banks “who are knowingly assisting fraudulent merchants who harm consumers.”

“We’re committed to ensuring that our efforts to combat fraud do not discourage or inhibit the lawful conduct of these honest merchants,” the Justice Department said in a May 7 blog post.

• T.R. Liberti, owner and operator of Top Gun Firearms Training & Supply in Miami, has felt the sting firsthand. Last month, his local bank, BankUnited N.A., dumped his online business from its service.

An explanatory email from the bank said: “This letter in no way reflects any derogatory reasons for such action on your behalf. But rather one of industry. Unfortunately your company’s line of business is not commensurate with the industries we work with.”

DOJ  & FEDS Move Against 2nd Amendment

Operation Choke Point continues at warp speed in the ongoing war on our economy as the federal government continues its assault against our rights and citizens. We discussed that these initiatives are unconstitutional and beyond the purview of the federal government as these businesses are chartered by State government and not the federal government. We encapsulated this with the following statements:

This is the federal government directly interfering in commerce they do not approve of.

Who made these miscreants and tyrants the arbiter of these kinds of businesses? They are chartered not on the federal level and hold their ability to engage in commerce from a sovereign state, which if we understand our constitution correctly is beyond their purview. Why are these unelected officials allowed to dictate to anyone what is and what is not acceptable commerce barring federal legislation of these industries?

Nothing has changed since we made these statements on the 8th as Operation Choke Point continues to go after legal entities by regulatory means against business and livelihoods Obama and his tyrants in Washington disapprove of.

In this particular instance, it is firearms. This regime has done everything they can to denigrate our 2nd amendment rights without the benefit of legislation or a Constitutional amendment. This is tyranny plain and simple that our government arbitrarily and capriciously decides which business they like and others are to be ran out of town by regulatory means by intimidation, fraud, oppression and extortion.

Our rights are under assault at every avenue under this regime and we need to stand tall and be counted that we will not allow this abuse of citizens to continue, whether it is our 1st amendment rights for daring to speak out about the oppression from this tyrant to our 2nd amendment right to bear arms being marginalized.

This is no longer a government by, and for the people, we do not know what this government is being remade into, or for whom, all we know is that it is not to increase our freedom and liberty that’s for sure. We need to impeach this usurper and tyrant and get this government back into the freedom business and amend the Constitution to keep this type of abuse from occurring in the future.
