Luis Gutierrez Demands Obama to Enact Amnesty for 8 Million Illegals After Midterm Shellacking

November 7, 2014

A day after voters resoundingly rejected President Barack Obama's plans for massive executive amnesty in the midterms, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) said Obama's first act should be to give amnesty to eight million illegal immigrants, which would be comparable in scope to the Senate's Gang of Eight amnesty bill.

We now have indisputable proof that California is the land of fruits and nuts since the voters approved this outrageous proposition that have turned serious felony offenses into misdemeanors. They have turned theft of most firearms and drugs into a misdemeanor citation:

“In most instances, many crimes that were previously ‘arrestable’ as a felony will now only be ‘citable’ as a misdemeanor,” a press release posted on the official Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Facebook said.

“That means they may not be booked into jail but rather given a citation (similar to a traffic ticket) with a court date to appear, and released in the field.”

The department listed “theft of most firearms,” “theft of a vehicle (under $950 value),” and “possession of heroin, cocaine, illegal prescriptions, concentrated cannabis, and methamphetamine” as examples of crimes which are no longer arrestable offenses under the new law.

Additionally, those who are awaiting trial on charges covered by the proposition will be released and those already convicted can petition the court for a reduced sentence.

“Are you freaking kidding me?” The Federalist’s Sean Davis said of the new law. “I get the need for smarter sentencing laws and all that, but at what point did firearm theft and possession of date rape drugs become non-serious offenses?”

“In one fell swoop, California voters just made it a whole lot easier for criminals to commit gun crimes and perpetrate date rape.”

We just retrieved our crystal ball from its hallowed place on the mantle and gave it a good polish, so that we could foretell the future for the misguided and frenetic citizens of California. What our initial gaze told us about their society is that violent crime will increase and that the citizens will be perplexed by this result. When a criminal can steal a firearm and  be given a slap on the wrist is unbelievable, don't these miscreants understand that bullets leave nasty little holes and grievous wounds in people. And that a criminal that is willing to steal a deadly weapon has the intention of using one.

Clearly wisdom, strike that intelligence has gone out the window in this State as they are now in dangerous territory and are collectively registering in the idiot range. If you want to spend some time in California you may wish to invest in some body armor, as this decision practically legalizes theft and violent crime. The decriminalization of drugs is part and parcel to who these people are and we can assume that most of them were on drugs, drunk or high when they voted for such a misguided notion as to decriminalize the theft or firearms.

Well they will just have to live or die by the consequences and sadly it will be innocent victims that will die due to their misguided sense of social irresponsibility.

One interesting corollary to this insane outcome is that it is difficult to obtain a concealed carry permit in California as it is a "may issue" state which means they have to pass judgement on the value of your life, which is placed into the hands of others to decide your fate.

This means that many more people will just conceal, carry firearms in defiance of the law as they attempt to protect their lives against their fellow citizens. California will become more of a jungle than it already is, may they enjoy the hell they have created. From Free Beacon.
