Luis Gutierrez Demands Obama to Enact Amnesty for 8 Million Illegals After Midterm Shellacking

November 7, 2014

A day after voters resoundingly rejected President Barack Obama's plans for massive executive amnesty in the midterms, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) said Obama's first act should be to give amnesty to eight million illegal immigrants, which would be comparable in scope to the Senate's Gang of Eight amnesty bill.

We have a retread from the Obama regime that is attempting to put a happy face on the jobless recovery of our feckless tyrant who has chosen to place citizens on the entitlement gravy train than unleash the American entrepreneur:

Former Obama administration official Steve Rattner explained Americans’ frustration with the economy in simple terms: wages are down and a lot of people who want to work still are not working.

Rattner said that the Democratic Party’s “positive” economic message “didn’t seem to resonate” with voters because, as Vice President Biden so eloquently stated, middle class workers can “feel it in their bones” that the recovery has been weak.

“Even though there had bean huge number of new jobs created, a lot of Americans who want to work are still not working,” Rattner said.

Next, Rattner examined a chart which showed average American incomes, adjusted for inflation, had decreased by one percent since 2009. Wages are down 3.8 percent in the manufacturing sector and for auto industry workers, wages are down by 15 percent.

Rattner told BBC journalist Katty Kay she should be “depressed” by the chart.

“We saved the jobs, we couldn’t save the incomes,” Rattner said. “So it’s very hard to make a case for Americans that the economy is great when your income is down.”

If you drill down into the graph that Steve Rattner showed, who was Obama's auto Czar the guy who bailed the UAW the auto workers union out in 2009, it is the industries that produce goods that are suffering along with retail. This means that people are not purchasing goods, which is the reason for the gloomy economic outlook. The financial and service sector has shown growth, because these industries are low overhead and can squeeze their workforce into becoming more productive, which they have done.

A nation that does not produce goods is a nation in decline and the proof of the unemployment rate is shown in the labor participation rate which has an inverse relationship to the unemployment rate, it stands at 62.8 with a downward trend. On average it has fallen .5% for every year Obama has been in office.

The smoke and mirrors that we are shown by these miscreants who refuse to tell the truth about the economy is shameful as they push a false meme about an improving economy. Here is the data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and clearly show the loss of participation rate for every year of the Obama economic onslaught.

At the end of the day an improving economy add workers to the work force these numbers show that has not happened, and the number of jobs touted that have been added are only keeping workforce at parity and treading water. People are hurting under the policies of this regime which has only benefited the top 10% with middle class and poor taking the brunt of their destructive policies. From Free Beacon.
