‘Election Eve Dump:’ Eric Holder Releases Fast and Furious Documents That Got Him Cited for Contempt

November 6, 2014

Justice Department officials provided House investigators with thousands of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious that President Obama had previously claimed were exempt from congressional review.

Mitch McConnell and John Boehnor penned a joint op-ed in the Wall Street Journal and in typical gutless style they have already retreated, get this because of the electoral challenges for the 2016 election:

McConnell, furthermore, has tied his own hands by promising that he will not threaten or use a government shutdown to enforce Congress's will. Conservatives are seething at that tactical retreat, pointing out the the 2013 shutdown had no effect on the GOP's electoral fortunes. Yet the more basic problem is that a shutdown is not a credible threat, simply because there are too many GOP Senators up for re-election in blue states in 2016.

It only went downhill from there, the American people put these august members of Congress and the Senate into power to roll back the Obama agenda, and for such silly notions as to halt the destruction to the Republic and the rule of law, and certainly not to manage it until he is out of office:

Otherwise, McConnell's tools are very limited. He will have a small majority of votes within his own party, and Democrats, sensing potential gains in 2016, are unlikely to cross over to help. Between Ted Cruz on the one hand and John McCain on the other, McConnell also has a fractious caucus that will be difficult to unite in a confrontation.

He has only one real power that no one else can take away: the power to bring bills to the floor.

That means McConnell can block any and all of Obama's appointments, both executive and judicial. And that is what McConnell should threaten to do if Obama attempts to carry out executive amnesty. It is a threat that is directly related to the powers that Obama proposes to abuse, and it is better than threatening to defund the government or even particular agencies, which would have the disadvantage of punishing innocent individuals.

We are in for a rocky road as the GOP has shown they are not prepared to go the mat and fight for the American people, they continue to posture for future election gains as only professional politicians can do and make the eventual downfall of the nation more likely. Since we know that Obama is going to push every unreasonable and illegal action he can since he believes that these sock puppets will not act in accordance with conviction, and are only eyeing future elections gains so he is free to act at will.

In the end it is the American people that have been shortchanged by both Parties since they have cared more about their own fortunes as they carve up the federal treasury for their own outcome and the people are left wanting. From Breitbart.
