Surprise; we have Iran blocking inspections of their nuclear facilities as time is running out in the alleged nuclear talks with Iran scheduled for completion on the 24th. This is typical for Iran who have acted in bad faith since the nuclear talks began, and for all we know this been agreed to before the fact with Obama who has acquiesced to them every step of the way:

The U.S. and the European Union have said Iran’s cooperation with the U.N. in addressing evidence that Tehran conducted studies in the past on the development of atomic weapons is crucial to reaching a broader accord on the future of the Iranian nuclear program.

But Yukiya Amano, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog, said Friday there has been almost no progress in resolving the outstanding allegations of weapons development, despite a year of negotiations with Iranian President Hasan Rouhani ’s government. [...]

The IAEA is seeking access to leading Iranian nuclear scientists who are believed to have been involved in nuclear-weapons research. The agency also is demanding access to Iranian research and military sites. Among them is a military base south of Tehran, called Parchin, where the IAEA and the U.S. believe atomic-weapons development occurred.

Iran so far has denied Mr. Amano’s investigators access to the scientists or the sites, despite Tehran’s insistence that its nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes. Iran also has said that the IAEA’s evidence of weapons work is based on fabricated intelligence.

We discussed this deliberate stalling of Iran in our Iran Rejects Future Talks on Their Nuclear Program article:

We now have the Ayatollah himself declaring that no further negotiations will take place and have refused for Iran to continue discussions over their nuclear or missile development programs:

Khamenei said on Wednesday that negotiations with the United States “don’t have any benefits” for Iran and rejected the prospect of further discussions.

“Relations with the U.S. and negotiations with that country, except for very specific cases, don’t have any benefits for the Islamic Republic and it is even harmful,” Khamenei told Iran’s diplomatic corps, according to Fars.

Recent negotiations between the United States and Iran on its nuclear program have proved that no issues “will be settled,” according to Khamenei.

“Some people pretended that if we sit to the negotiating table with the Americans, many problems will be settled; of course, we knew that it is not correct but the events during the recent years has now proved this reality several times,” he was quoted as saying.

Now that we have this declaration by Iran, we expect that Obama will come forward in a few days and concede more areas of contention to Iran, probably releasing more frozen assets to them. Either way we have suspected these pronouncements by Khamenei are seen as some message that only Obama understands, then reacts to.

None of this is a surprise, these entire negotiations have been a means for Obama our feckless tyrant to allow Iran to become a nuclear power, as he has acceded to every demand and given them, the money, time and technology to finish their weapons program. From Free Beacon.
