Obama’s Border Policy Fueled Epidemic, Evidence Shows

November 3, 2014

Viruses mutate at predictable rates, allowing scientists to track the virus’s changes, geographic movement and, sometimes, their precise origins.

The VA is now refitting a facility in Puerto Rico with filtration equipment so that it can safely handle Ebola patients. So much for Ebola not being an airborne pathogen, though we have reported that this is the proper environment for a BSL-4 pathogen for Ebola patients and their care. Though the facility upgrade raises more questions than it answers on what the regime plans are for this facility:

“This emergency service is for the creation of a Ward to attend suspected patients with the Ebola Virus that have to be quarantine,” explains a document justifying the use of a sole-source contract for the filters, which will cost about $18,000.

Manuel Delrio, an employee at the hospital, said by phone Sunday that to his knowledge, no patients at the facility currently have Ebola. “So far, we're crossing our fingers, but we've had no issues at all,” Delrio said.

The U.S. military is engaged in combating Ebola in Liberia, and officials have had difficulty explaining the protocol for any soldiers that catch the deadly disease.

“This situation is considered an emergency and prompt attention is a required delaying repair will create a situation where an outbreak of Ebola may happen to patient, guest or employees,” the sole-source document says.

Several VA hospitals in the mainland United States have touted their preparedness for a potential Ebola outbreak in recent news stories.

“The resources we have available to us, the personnel we have available to us, are second to none," Dr. Gary Badzinski, the Fayetteville, North Carolina VA's chief of medicine told the Fayetteville Observer. "We are out in front of this."

Officials at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida told the Tampa Tribune they were preparing for possible Ebola cases.

“We are fine-tuning operational plans to adjust for the special requirements of this specific virus,” Mary Kay Hollingsworth, spokeswoman for the VA Sunshine Healthcare Network, told the Tribune.

The VA Sunshine Healthcare Network oversees VA medical facilities in Florida, south Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

What this regime is planning is still unknown though we had reported that they had been planning to bring Ebola patients from Africa for treatment in the USA, which they have denied even after a State Department memorandum surfaced. Have they scrapped this plan and intend to take them to Puerto Rico instead, behind the back of Congress?

We discussed this in our Obama Plans on Importing Ebola Patients to USA article:

A disturbing story comes to us from Judicial Watch and Townhall that our feckless tyrant is formulating a plan to bring Ebola infected persons from the Ebola region to the USA for treatment, behind the back of Congress:

And if all this weren’t enough, a conservative watchdog group is out with a shocking new report that claims the administration is looking to bring Ebola-infected foreigners to the U.S. for treatment. Yes, you read that correctly.

Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment. Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis.

It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients. The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

One source tells us that the Obama administration is keeping this plan secret from Congress. The source is concerned that the proposal is illegal; endangers the public health and welfare; and should require the approval of Congress.

We then went onto discuss the nonsensical policies or lack of them in this matter and how the State Department had actually increases the issuance of visas to the United States since August:

We have also found out Obama is refusing to close our borders, and our air and seaports to travelers from the Ebola regions and said so in his weekly radio address:

“We can’t just cut ourselves off from West Africa,” he said in his weekly radio address. “Trying to seal off an entire region of the world—if that were even possible, could actually make the situation worse.”

If that were true, then why has nearly every African nation—plus a number of other countries (and airlines) around the world—imposed a ban or significant restrictions on the Ebola-stricken countries in West Africa? It’s simple: quarantines work. As Ann Coulter noted in her column this week, “It’s becoming increasingly clear that this is just another platform for Obama to demonstrate that we are citizens of the world.”

Then we find out that Obama and the State Department have accelerated the issuance of visas from the Ebola region since August, we can only conclude this will increase the possibility that Ebola will enter our nation.

We have to now put motives to these efforts to bring Ebola to our nation. We question these moves because rational people would and should fear Ebola to not do so is irrational. That does not mean that one should panic or lose perspective, but rational fear is a moderating influence in our lives, it helps us to act responsibly. So we have to ask a primary question, why doesn't this government fear Ebola? They have acted so irresponsibly in so many areas already, and we are awash in disease due to the current effort to balkanize the nation.

This looks like an end run around Congress as Puerto Rico is a Territory of the United States and under federal control, so the patients from Africa may be brought to this VA facility for treatment. The cost for each patient has been estimated at $500,000 each on a conservative basis and is just one more way to complete the financial destruction to our nation. This is criminal that we have a branch of our government that is completely unhinged from the Constitution and is acting in a manner that is purposely destroying this nation and bringing as much misery to our people as possible.

Whether this destruction is to law and the rule the law, illegally violating our immigration and public health laws with Obama's nation packing scheme with illegal aliens. Then with the unbridled spending at every opportunity without regard to the consequences. We have a traitor in the White House and the sooner we realize this and charge and prosecute him for his many crimes we will continue to suffer under his malevolent maltreatment.

It is now at a point that this tyrant and miscreant is going to bring a deadly pathogen into contact with our nations people and it looks as if he will not let anything stop him from doing so. Watch this video and ask yourself do we have a coherent Ebola policy, then ask the follow on question why not. From Breitbart.
